If I were you I would start to categorize the chores.. type:
Diagnosis = program + cable
Reading and Writing = program + cable
Edit the file ORI = program
Located in the forum the name of what I have described and you have everything you need to get started

For your Fiat group board:
Diagnosis = multiecuscan + cable elm327
Reading and Writing = mpps and v54
Edit the file ORI = ecm titanium but there are alternatives, even open source (in the web you will find the info)

Multiecuscan already are in possession of the elm 327 anke but I would need the modified xk does not make me reset the service and other things, and I don't know how it's called if you can help me
