what is this conducted and why must bypass the mass air flow sensor ?[pic included]

    led asp.jpg

[use ctrl and scrolling the mouse to enlarge]
the number' 8 on the image .. sticks to the pipe that goes from the filter then bypasses the mesuratore air mass(mass air flow sensor) and is included in the duct, enclosed with the collar '9', that goes to the turbine.... Number 51779360 on eper , section alfa-brera
    what's it for?
I'm proggettando a change to the air filter, and I would like to know if I can exclude this piece .. it is a buffer for the immediate requested of the turbine? or selenziatore of the 'backwash' of the air in the award of the accelerator?

The one that was marked with the number 8 ? a resonator turbo compressor, reduces the resonated turbine in the early stages of the release of the acelleratore, you can abolish calmly, even if they abolish it and let the air filter is original, the car will gain in response

unable to explain what happens when you release the accelerator? the compressed air 'is' the throttle body is closed, and then back and then to get out of this box '8' and then from the filter from the air ??

the resonator c ? for a precise reason, that does not ? to muffle the sounds produced by the turbo senn? would damper the sound and not the resonator.
the resonator (see helmholtz resonator, the system usually used for discharges) serves to ensure the maintenance of the speed? a constant flow of air that travels through the tube to get to the intake manifold where they are created imbalances in the data from the columns of air in constant motion caused by the pistons...take it out means you lose in the constancy of power supply, to do a job properly and take it out ? need to redesign their intake in order to have an optimal efficiency...if you're not a maniac dell lightening and high power motors spicifica, and I don't think this is the case, leave it to dov ? that is just fine.

The resonator serves not only to improve/change the sound, but it serves well as to optimize the pressure waves in the intake by s? that at the opening of the intake valve, there may be a wave of positive pressure to the valve, which can? increase the mass of air sucked in. Obvious that if it is poorly sized pu? happen the opposite, namely that the pressure wave is to the contrary! this volume can? also be put to the exhaust for the absurd, and to facilitate the "dry" of the chamber in the unloading phase. also here, if it is poorly sized, ends up creating a positive wave towards the exhaust valve open, and instead of going? vent the exhaust gas returns them in the room. and have to vacuum later the room is not clean, it limits the performance.
wrapped remove the resonator pu? only be a Ca**ata, but I personally removed on an alfa 147 and I'm taking only benefits ? pi? linear, of course should be revised and resized all of the intake duct but not always wrapped could go well as well as the air filter reduces the resonated

I don't understand if you're confused or if you do it on purpose (no offense)...before you write that is it can be? remove and now you write that sometimes can? only be a*******?

remove the riisuonatore ? ALWAYS a******* on a stock motor and if you do not redesign the airbox and-duct-intake manifold (see fluid mechanics).

the resonator does NOT need to change the sound in any of the cases in which it is installed on the suction line!

the resonator does not increase the mass of the d-air, but serves ONLY to guarantee the speed? the constant flow in a naturally aspirated engine, the intake manifold pressure increases only with a strong intersection of the timing of the cams and only by perfectly the diagrams in the suction and discharge that can take advantage of cos? the effect ramjet.

Are not confused and I don't do it on purpose, here we are talking about an engine hose-compressed not of a naturally aspirated engine, in the case of the aspirated everything is worth what you say, but in the turbo-compressed and another thing entirely to see filters for direct suction cda competition (without resonator x turbo-compressed), in which is sucked in Towards the end of the aspiration phase, the inertia of the column of fresh air in the duct feeding the increase of the pressure immediately upstream of the valve. This phenomenon is most noticeable how much more? a high number of laps and how much more? along the duct. To take advantage of this wave of pressure and allow better filling of the cylinder it is necessary to close the valve in the suction line with a certain delay after the lower dead point. To accentuate the effect, you can use the phenomena of resonance inside the air column, i.e. the pressure changes caused by the beginning and by the end of the aspiration phase. The effect allows you to get inside of the cylinder a pressure slightly higher than atmospheric without having to use a turbo or compressor, the crash of The air effected by the closure of the intake valves causes a pressure wave that goes up the suction pipe up to the filter, and then come back and if it comes to the valves when they open up for the next entry if it has a beneficial effect
what highly different in the turbo engines compressed, such as the one mentioned above where the supercharger or turbo-compressor provides a deal? constant air and continues,
Since? the resonance (ram effect) manifests itself at a given speed of rotation that depends on the size of the ducts, you are spreading the so-called intake variable geometry swirl valves etc..) that can help you take advantage of the phenomenon in a wide range of number of revolutions: conducted short at high revs and long low.
The ducts, in the past, sized for the maximum torque to increase the efficiency of the motor, must today be sized also according to the principle that at low speeds you have fills best with long pipe runs and those with high conducted short. Then, while in formula One are the led to be of variable length, in normal cars tend to have conducted individual long that flow into the intake manifold where they remain separated at low speeds and are put in common to the high ones, through butterfly type bulkheads.

I correct myself . The throttle body on engines diesel performs the function of optimizing the efficiency of the recirculation EGR....
Then the manifold asp and' always 'open'

thanks for the responses about my research !
