read phase values on gasoline engines

    Hello to all.

A few days ago, alas I was forced to make the distribution to the clio of my companion.
The bitter discovery that the previous phase was made badly, maybe a few degrees with respect to the specifichè because the phase reference on the-axis of cam was not perfect but slightly moved in the counterclockwise direction of at least one tooth.

In fact, mass in motion, especially in the cold is not and never was exceptional and often went to 3 sometimes even 2 for 1-2 seconds, and then turn to ear regularly.
I was told that it depended on the 2 intake valves burned and then the head to be redone.

THE engine has always been a little off, and hence the remapping with an increase of a few percentage points.
In short, I put on a kit, gates and saw that there was also the pump acuqua new.

Putting good online references on the camshaft, the phase of the engine has literally changed from day to night, walking twice the first, and definitely most powerful, and cold-smokes less thing that I blamed a few lambda sensor faulty and the diagnosis of the mechanic who had checked....45€ for me and a sea of things that are inaccurate!

In short, everything to the right reassembled and tight with a torque wrench that specific and use the protractor as required to replace the pulley on the motor shaft.

Now I'm wondering if I can in some way or the delhpi or with the wow of the whurt see the alignments of the phase as for the vag group.

Thank you in advance for your attention.

what type of injection mounts?semi-phased out? phased out?
if mounting a sensor on the camshaft(phased out) in the theory with a diagnosis you may want to check the timing...
if the sensor cam is not present(semi-multipoint, or full group even) the only way is to mount the distribution with the maximum precision on the points of reference..
A rider does not create queues even in the car...
a automoblista create queues even on a motorcycle...

hello munro....in fact I made a question really stupid....because this morning, I called a customer whom I have done the scodifica total.

Talk about a lancia ypslon 2002....and the motor was out of phase and with the parameters all out.

According to the mechanic it was my fault contrast it was he who had been hurt by the fas, in fact, brought in from another you need from me and in a now settled by putting the correct phase.

In the clio, 2001 16 v there is no sensor on the camshaft end, inside the distribution then the only one way and, as you suggested.

The work I have done with success, because as explained I found the reference on the a axis cam, and carter advance of a tooth, in fact it was not right for the reasons, according to the mechanic that he had seen, explained.

this and pure inexperience!....and hey ....claims that you are not a mechanic .
