Question Information on the revision/version of the SW in the ecu.

    Hello all,
I hope to be understandable as possible.
I'm going to go in this world, I want to try to exclude me from the egr because I have already replaced two and I got bored of staying stranded for this damn valve. I own a 147 restyling 120cv 1.9 jtdm, as the ecu is mounted on a edc16c39, at least this me returns the diagnosis with MES.
I am waiting to get the v54 yellow. With that said, I came across some post on the internet about updates that are released from the mother house, in this case alpha, for the ecu, I think to cope with various problems. How do I know if I have the latest released version? you have to go in the alpha and connect to the examiner?

Thank all the mighty men, helpers!

with an instrument of good invoice you can see the date of issue of the vehicle and any updates with dates more recent..

however, this darkness can't fool the house mother has never solved anything on the emissions, on the contrary many times to cushion the defects with their updates, the cars, the decrease of the performance.

You're lucky as I was to have this machine. There is nothing better for a start ....you can find all the information possible on this ecu, which reads from and writes to serial port without big risks. Also the egr is very simple to exclude the hand that with the sw dedicated. Leave the upgrades as said cinqueturbo above
