It happens the same to me. With the laptop I notice occasionally an error that the phone does not detect, even if present. Also tried with another interface (I speak of the economy, but I don't think makes a difference in this case). So I think that is a problem, or better, a limitation of the software.
With elm and torque pro, make the diagnosis, to the engine control unit, and then hopefully find the only errors present in the engine control unit and the airbag or abs or body, etc.....

Are updated versions of the integrated. Is always specified in the adverts. I have the 1.4 and for the little that I do I am fine. There is also 1.5 but I read that sometimes are not true, i.e. disassemble and you see that they are 1.2. However, it is enough to turn a reputable manufacturers, showing a good reliability
and are you able to access the airbag ecu, abs and power steering?
