    lambda probe iaw 8f

    good morning to all.

I am looking for some information to give me a hand for a project in which I am participating. we are talking about a Punto 1.2 8v IAW 8f5t: I'm going to delete from the control unit corrections of the lambda probe.
that is, I would like to keep you connected, and thus, does not stop the control of the heating of the probe, to read the values to the control unit, but without making any correction to the injection maps.

do you know if ? a thing feasible?
can someone give me some indication? some help?

    thank you. see you soon.

if I have understood it is equivalent to remove the probe is normally mounted and in its place insert a probe tool with a measuring instrument of the lambda.

alternative: disconnect the cable from the valve evaporative, connect a diagnostic tool and read the signal of the lambda probe.

no I try to explain better.
I would like to keep the original oxygen mounted in such a way that the heating is still driven by the ecu, but I would like that the unit is not applied corrections on the basis of the read operation is performed.

certainly one of the information of the eprom are the data of the correction of the lambda, or not?! I would like to delete them.

but maybe I'm choosing the most difficult...what do you say?

perhaps it would be easier to just connect the 2 wires (12v + and -) for the heating of the probe and disconnect the wires of the lambda oxygen sensor signal, but so I am afraid that the ecu go into recovery, or since? does not detect the lambda, the control unit does not give the current to the heating.

    can someone clarify my doubts?

but why? all this fear to stop the heating probe?
you respond on the threads of the probe signal or the evaporative or on the heater the result ? always the same,
however, to generate an error that ignite? the indicator light.

keep in mind that if you do any form of intervention that is blocking the probe, with a diagnosis you will be able to see the voltage probe, but the electronic control unit avr? locked out of every calculation.

you want an engine without a probe, why? not well you must be the simple detachment of the connector??????

because to me is that the probe is warm because I want to use its signal to a different purpose from the reading in the ecu. the probe reads the wrong if not ? at the correct temperature.

if detachment of the connector I have is that the probe does not read well and the ecu ? in the recovery.

I would like that the probe scaldasse but that the control unit does not react with the fixes.
    I was pi? clear now?
    any advice?

leave the probe connected to the control unit for the heater and picks up the signal from the probe by interrupting the connection to the ecu and diverting where you need them

to stop the connection, what do you mean?
so do not risk the recovery? what can result?

    thank you for the help.

recovery in this case ? only that the carburetion is handled with the mappings written in the ecu (which is not wrong ) without the control of the probe.
in practice you will not notice anything, maybe you'll occasionally smell of gasoline due to the tank breather that is not pi? washed.
but this disadvantage would there be anyway for you to make a hardware modification, with the wires, which software change with the block of the probe.

    so there are 2 questions:
-n1: with the editing software I can delete the fixes lambda but keep the management of the heating?

-n2: with the other solution, by disconnecting only the 2 cables of the lambda oxygen sensor signal, the management of the heating of the probe still works??

in both cases, the answer might be yes.

to work around the problem of heating the probe, you can always connect a probe to false, in the air, which ensures the correctness of the connection to the ecu and then another probe in the exhaust to the secondary service that you want.
the cables for the heater can also be cavallottati, cos? heat up both, and the diagnosis does not activate.
