    Problem EGR fiat Bravo 1.6 mjet 2008 - How to proceed?

    Hello all, I wanted to ask you an opinion on how to proceed with a problem on my fiat Bravo.
    The car ? 2008, 1.6 mjet 105HP with 110.000 Km.
    At about 90,000 Miles I changed under warranty the EGR valve (new original) why? I ? happened two times to have the engine light on, from the logs it was highlighted a problem on the valve and then to me ? been replaced.
    A few days ago, after a journey of about 500 km, you ? turned on the light and I saw almost immediately the feeling of "lack" of power from the engine. In practice, I could accelerate as much as I wanted to and give gas that the machine is not the saliva of laps and was not moving forward!
    I turned it off and back on, and the machine has started to work regularly. I ? happened after about 1 hour the same thing. Finally, I continued the journey to the other 500km with engine light on but no problems.

    This morning I connected to the obd and I'm attaching the result...I have to say that I'm using the car and the light ? off.

    P0489 EGR Valve control | No signal
    P0487 EGR Valve position | Signal high
    P0488 EGR Valve position | Signal low

    What would you recommend for me?
    1) go Back into FIAT and again request the change of the EGR?
    2) Not worry about the problem, and attributed the cause maybe a diesel fuel "dirty" ? In fact I have done a full dispenser in the open countryside...
    3) In multiecuscan I found a function called "the EGR exchanger exclusion valve"? What does it do? Should eliminate the operation of the EGR?
    4) On my old 147 had stuck with the plate on the EGR, can you? do about this?
    5) I've read that you can? delete the EGR from the mapping...I can do it with my cable (I think it is a K-Line can - blue color purchased on ebay some time ago)

    If ? in warranty get it back... to get it checked, fixed this,
    I advise you to every way to be so close from the first trainer in your area in order to avoid other problems and unnecessary expenses.

    On those engines, you can change as many as you like of egr valves, you will always have the same problem, in the meantime, the facts replace the egr valve under warranty, and the problem is that this system of exhaust gas recirculation dellorto present on these cars, and has a particular device heat exchanger that has the function of cooling the exhaust gas entered into the manifold so cristallizzarli and not sticking to the inlet, but it happens that in the flange and the metal where it supports the egr valve is a deformation that is to pass the exhaust gas directly to the manifold, and the air the cold of the manifold rises from the turbo compressor to the inside of the system heat exchanger, cooling the exhaust gas, and and get them to crystallize directly to the inside of the passages of the heat exchanger and on the stem of the valve and causing them to harden like cement and blocking the valve, which in turn force on the worm inside the valve, destroying it.
    my advice ? replace the entire system, heat exchanger, if the car ? in warranty, you can do so safely, or replace the egr valve that you have mounted recently in the warranty and eliminate the management of the engine control unit, and you'll never have ir? problems

    concordo.se not you the change in warranty flaw exclude from the ecu and mounts a flancia.

    you know the answer to the question of multiecuscan on "EGR exchanger exclusion valve"? does it work? I exclude the valve, and thus I shouldn't have ir? problems?

    If I can't find anyone willing to give me the change to the mapping, I can try it alone ? which cable should I buy?

    It is to be a p? that I don't use multiecuscan but I don't remember that function you mentioned. However, you should contact someone in the industry why? albeit true that your car has edc16 and ? quite feasible with some interface of the economic, in the case of problems that are always around the corner, there is no way to restore it. If you can read it I think that none negher? a hand for the exclusion.

    I tried this morning, but by checking the parameters to the egr is always entered in the function....
    Can you give me two tips on which cable to buy to try to do the change (of course with your support)?

    you have to spend to stay traquillo at least a 150 euro... *****...

    or go to your mechanic and ask if he knows any trainer...
    or if c'? someone of the forum ? from your parts...

    if not send me a **** administrators that you proporanno their equipment...
