I probably I have a usb-serial adapter that is your thing, why? unlike regular adapters that simulate a com, this ? just a rs232 port real. once installed on the PC works as a com port on the original motherboard.
I use it to update some of the diagnostic tester with the standard adapter usb-to-serial not go why? need a real com for the update.

why? I have one very compact, which I bought together with a megasquirt ECU: the manufacturer told me that it was one of the few to correctly simulate a com port to communicate with the ecu.

you managed to get it to work?? Look that works well with the emulator only com port that you have to do the right procedure, I have done more? a of interface, even for a couple of friends and work great, controls well and follow the instructions to the letter

I have built the interface with the schema usually found on the net, accompanying programs F1.exe and F1 V2.

I also had I the same problems with the com port I sbttuto l head all over the walls of the workshop , however, the problem and the door I have a acer trvelmate laptop with a com port and it does not work, I tried all the settings, the only one that works is or pc or a dell d630 with regard to my experience on these mcchine secure 1000 x 1000 other I don't know, the door must be physical and not emulated.

Hi to all. I start this post because I have the same problem too. Use a usb adapter, and f1. I always get this as an error initialize failed. I resolve it by setting some particular parameter on the adapter? Thanks

If it can? be of some help, I have scodificato a IAW 16F of a Cinquecento Sporting with a file of a clock, I wrote it on a EPROM that is used instead of the map, then turn the key, look for the light of the code turns off, and then reassemble the EPROM with the map.
