've a x3 you ? stopped in gear and not ? pi? wanted to start,in the diagnosis, everything is ok , I started to unnerve me, and I begin to remove the intake manifolds, thinking about the butterflies remained closed..when I realize that it was all ok I try to put in motion without the manifolds and the car starts spitting out all the gas from the pipe of the egr that I detached to remove them at that point, I realized that the fap was completely clogged!!! didn't want to believe it...there was all mud, hard-packed snow that blocked the holes

I was going to write the same thing in some cases and he had to remove the manifolds because the car would not start any more.

Removed physically the FAP , check out the ****llo Oil why? safe and high
( c'? diesel)
Then do the luca stanca with ecusafe that should go.
If you want to do a clean job, you should find the straight tube directly in Alfa Romeo as a replacement

The pipe is also not original, you can find him on ebay too at low cost. Ps I did on my alpha ? a brera, but it is also good for the 159, they have the same drain line.

Also to me ? had an X3 with the same problem.. I made him empty the fap and had to go back to delete it from the ecu...no ? never went back and travels safely without any damage... strange things!!!!

All sorted, it was the DPF so clogged that did not come out more? nothing on the exhaust!!
removed the filter element inside the car is a wonder!
of course, DPF and EGR removed in the map.
There is so much crap from the filter that I had never seen such a thing, even the temperature sensor was "bath powder black".
