Bus init error

I get this error when I try to connect with the ELM327 USB to my Peugeot 406.
I have searched for an answer on a lot of forums,but nothing..
any suggestions?

if I have to be honest, I can't help you because I never had anything to do with the elm 327.

suffer from abc, elm and'? which pc do you use ? and idriver? then veduiamo to understand . that program uses for the elm?

I had the same problem too on a 406 hdi , using scanmaster and elm.. not connected.. to get it to connect I had to remove the automatic selection of communication protocols and enter it manually.

here I am! sorry guys, but I couldn't post anything on the forum.. I don't know what happened, almost 2 weeks of blackout..
thank you the admin ? finally managed to fix whatever it is succesa.

Then, it is a ELM327 clone, the USB version.
I know that ? easy to that the simple fact of being a clone,? I feel it, I don't know.. the interface, it seems to me applied...
I tried with all the software for the diagnosis that I was able to find, Scanmaster, Pcmscan and also many other free. I've tried for a minimum of a dozen... and all I l the same thing: interface connection -> ok , connect the ecu ... ... ... bus init error (some only give error without specify)
the system on which I try these programs ? a clean installation of xp sp3 professional 32bit.
I have an old laptop for experiments and I can afford to format it to be sure to have everything clean.

with regard to the protocols, on the scanmaster I tried to remove the auto and try to connect by selecting one among the available ones.. on the first there is a little' and then I bus init error.. on the other, that are according to me the protocols pi? new, I immediately error..
I also tried to set by the operator perirefiche the speed? at 9600 and 34600 but nothing changes..
