Bus init error

I get this error when I try to connect with the ELM327 USB to my Peugeot 406.
I have searched for an answer on a lot of forums,but nothing..
any suggestions?

ah, I forgot.. in the end I bought the lexia why? I discovered that ? what is pu? everything on the peugeot / citroen..
a bit like I did with the vag on my old polo a couple of years ago..

I had the same problem too on a 406 hdi , using scanmaster and elm.. not connected.. to get it to connect I had to remove the automatic selection of communication protocols and enter it manually.
