    Doubt Egr Audi A6 3.0tdi euro5 year 2009

    Yesterday ? came from a colleague who has a workshop that brings work and clients, and he asked me closing the Egr ( to not clog up the swirl and lock ) and + sensitivity? throttle while wanting to maintain the Dpf. To me the thing ? played strange why? usually I associate closing the egr to the elimination of the dpf in order not to have problems with clogging and/or lack of regenerations.
    Since? I do not want him to do damage, I would ask for your opinion on this what if ? secure or not, then will see? then to do that.

    I do not see anything unsafe, closing the egr and map the pedal while keeping the dpf does not involve any problem.
    I often have a mapped drive, with egr off, and dpf is still present, and I have not had any kind of problem.

    oh guys thanks,
    if the filter tends to get clogged + fast we can? stay just the regenerations and the doing, and not leave to walk.
    Ragionandoci a moment, the egr throws smoke suction dirty the swirl and all ducts in general, but lowers it a tot, the combustion temperature ( in fact, when the place where the regenerations of the egr intervenes with the closure or partial closure in order to contribute to the raising of the temperature ).
