sorry but the emulator was not a device that is interfaced with the type of your eprom is inserted in the socket eprom of your electronic control unit ( which you above call "emulator") it was also in real time to change the mapping, and once defined it in a new eprom and insert it into the ecu? as it is now via the serial....
