Writing with a different kind of tool

    Hi guys,
even if I have already done several ecu this is the first time I come across a doubt
I wanted to read for my punto evo 1.3 mjt 95 cv 2011 but as I had already read was not possible with the kess v2.
given that I did not want to open it unless I find a solution I tried the file ori in the network.
I found it but it is from another tool, or a wingnut, my question is this, if the file has both HW and SW
same, but read by one instrument different from the one that I would go to write, in this case, the kess v2, which is ori or modified
    I would have problems?

for fairness here is the ID:
    HW: MJ8DFHW00P
    SW: 9743G201
    VIN:
    Ver.SW: 0001
    Replacement: 51892328
    Engine:
    Ver.HW: 00
    SW agg.:
    System:

the downloaded file is this: the punto evo 1.rar

    thank you greetings.

As far as I know there should be no problems. When you download a file ori , usually , is not indicated with what has been read, and with what it is that you can rewrite, and I think that if the file is not corrupted you can write easily with any tool master. It is different if you download a file read in BDM, be careful to write it via OBD. At least from the experience that I had.

the rule is that it reads and writes always with the same tool, the problem comes when the tool does not read the complete file but only the area maps, it can happen that not all the tools read the same area, they are sometimes different even for a single bit that can however cause the block of the ecu, then I advise you to always read and always write with the same tool.

In the specific case, not being able to do the reading from the obd but only on the bench, and having, however, the compatible file what do you think that changes? I opened the file with winols that the ecm and give me the compatibility and the file seems complete. The file that I have attached is what is in the database, specifically the bed with the cock in virtual read.

I have only told you how I move I, I read and write it, then whoever said that you can make the serial reading with kess? I read them all in serial, it takes about 5-6 minutes.

as I read them, and write without problems with kess...

but which version do you have??

Anyway, the cock makes the one in virtual, and then writes it.

Use both kess that cock, and I can assure you that many cars do reading different... you should always check with a 2d editor what you read and what you write if not the children of the same programmer.

Some cars do the readings completely different type bosch tjet fiat and mini edc16c35...

the mj8 instead, they use the same file., you can intercambiarli.

Is version 4.036, with their computers 2.15, then, if I write the file that I downloaded from the database, I can stay quiet with the kess?
