I don't understand all the talk about an overboost....
boost x rpm = advances on the basis
An overboost means sovraspinta and it is a logic of the ecm on the basis of factors such as pedal accelerator, press the atm, temp, egt,air and h2o, commands the n75(in the case of vag) to give a % of the opening in a manner to allow the wg to stay closed still x a bit...then the pressure sensor feels an overpressure and then the ecu decreases the positive or negative(depending on the type of system) and the wg discharge the excess pressure.
If you mod the map in question increases or decrease the voltage, then increases the % wg. If it goes into recovery is because the sensor perceives an over-pressure but the ecu continues to lead the ev...dimuniusci the % or the points of the mod and you will see that it will not go more in recovery.
