the boot mode tricore applies to the edc17 while for the edc16 is the classic link to the schedule is welded on the pcb or the spring without welding,for edc15 you must desolder the eprom and then read it and write it with an eprom programmer.

mmm interesting... for edc15 for? as I understand until now ? need to do the backup.
For the edc16 agree, or I dare via obd to do both reading and writing? Leaving aside the speech ? always convenient to do so.
In practice what I ask ?: you as you work? Always back-up of each unit or only some?
