Even better would be to delete the egr plug manifold, remove the heat exchanger that cools the exhaust gas and the relative water circuit, finally, plug the exhaust manifold.

I was on my 147 jtd 8v 115hp euro3 I did just that... I ripped it all away and plugged directly on both the collectors...
The first thing I noticed was the improved responsiveness and the significant reduction of smoke; hence'.
All without a remap and without even exclude the egr from the map!

It all depends on your expertise, I have done alone, but the system of the 1.9 8v is more simple... the hassle is that you have to remove the battery and tank battery.
It is true that it has more of a warm-up, but if you saw how the egr combines the manifold, you wouldn't think twice!

Just think that until a short time ago I had a alfa 159 1.9 jtdm 150 hp with dpf... the same alfaromeo provided a "plate of limitation egr", which I bought as a sample to be able to play the other and do a variety of tests! With the sole plate already decreased jerking and regenerations...

for lived experience should close with sheet as with the time the valve gives way, and as it engages and opens against the force of the spring.and then that costs in exchange for serenity
