it always depends on the type of ecu ,in some of those ? can both partial and total in other or total or partial..but it's not all ecu's can be scodificate.

in a few words, the total is when there are problems with the keys while partial when you change the ecu, so the first time you turn you will automatically re-encode with the original keys of the vehicle.

I have read around these software nyo4 , meucci , carsoft are good? what would be the best?

Not c'? the best according to me. One can do well with some but not others..
