it would be interesting to see and hear. I have the same engine with the EGR closed mechanically and than before I have not found differences, while the whistle of the turbine is already feels? at low revs.

Try to close it physically, it is strange to think that the turbine bone whistle to a minimum due to the closure of the EGR.
