have you done the starter with the battery low??
measure the voltage of the battery from the holder.

U0426 indicates the control unit immobiliser, not the key.
the symptom you say is your code is not recognized on the fiat/lancia (it happened to me same problem, and the code turned off on the strip, or point... perfect car using the spare key... I repeat code off)
anyway taking to correct U0426 ( leaving aside the question that make the diagnosis for another car ) even with the spare keys from this defect because it is the ecu is the problem and not the key.
Try to see if you part with the spray... I think it has the injectors planted.
