Excuse me meddling, but you want to read the EDC15p from the obd before 2004

if you have a AM29F400-800 the you read by OBD or in Boot Mode without problems, but and a EDC15C..

if they have 2 27C010 PLCC, you need to unsolder and read with a special programmer in the bench.. no OBD or boot mode...

did you understand that the AM29F400-800 is read from serial while if mounts 2 27C010 PLCC don't read from the serial but only to the bench with a programmer?

I wanted to update the post saying that at the end on the audi a4 b5 2001 where it was not present, the fuse 11 of the framework I solved it by removing the fuse 7 that if I'm not mistaken is inherent in all esp are able to read and write with mpps

I give you my advice maybe not practical but it takes away any doubt..
remove the ecu and open it, it takes 10 minutes max if you find a AM29F you can also read from serial port only that the instrument panel or ABS, disturbs the operation..
if you find 2, PLLC nispa only with programmer dissaldandole..
