Upa 1.3 and tweezers pomona 5250

Hi to all, I read a 24c04 a edc15p vw, now I would like to try with the tweezers pomona 5250 only that there is an indication of what is PIN 1 on it... can I go to trial or you may burn it out by reversing the tweezers? the wiring harness ? colored maybe the pin 1 has a certain color? there is documentation nothing :/ I ? arrived already? the assembled structure.
