    Info reading EDC16C8 896_047

Hello guys, I have a little question from beginner...

    Yesterday I read via the obd a Alfa 147 1.9 JTDm 150 hp 2006...
I was expecting a EDC16C39 but the KessV2 gave me always "error generic ID"... after trying many times with the various protocols of the C39, and trying to change the speed' of reading, Kess, I've tried with the protocol of the C8 and it worked.
It is the first time that happens to me a EDC16C8 I have done a lot C39, and I expected that even this 147 without DPF had a....!!!!

When I tried to do the full read me said that the time would be 3 hours.
At that point I tried the partial reading, and in 20 minutes he downloaded the file to 1Mb, which, however, had already been modified in the past by someone else and comparing it with a gold that I had this ECU seems to be all ok (apart from the mod does not comment on)...

    My doubt is:
Do I have to download the complete file (3 hours) or is not necessary, and can I safely work on the 1Mb that I'm going back to rewrite via obd...???

the opel are edc16c9 old and have a protocol to read/write different from the fiat...
the c8 then you have a version prior to c39 of the fiat group and then the read file by 1mb is right..
however, to avoid problems read the full bdm you parerebbe the buttocks...

You are pretty quiet in the obd on the alfa c8/c39. It is the very first 147 restyling and it is correct that it has the c8. My I have written dozens and dozens of times in the obd.

It is in fact one of the first with band of chrome on the tailgate...
From what I have seen on the map ori, I think you can get nice results from this 147...
I recommended to the owner (my friend), pipes, intercooler, stainless downpipe, intercooler 156 and filter sports... as soon as we're ready, we will be having fun....!!!!!
