ELM327 BT on a Volvo V50

hello all, I need advice, yesterday I tried to download the list of faults with a eml327 bt version by obd of a volvo v50 2.0 D fap 2006 and since I used a sw for android (torque-free), the results were not satisfactory ... errors in hell and nearly all without description specifies...basically it's useless!!...then I would ask you if you can recommend a sw, this time for the pc to be used with the 327, which is able to successfully download the failure list and related descriptions on this car.

but when it comes to diagnostics, the opinion media here on the forum ? at the very least you should have an autocom (with a remarkable tool...)
of course, you say, that has nothing to do and want to know what you can do if "only" a elm327 interface
