    BDM use

I have a bit of confusion between BDM and JATG to operate on a ECU of the grande punto MJT 1.3...can you help me understand?
The procedure of the BDM port requires opening the ecu or the OBD?

the bdm port requires opening the ecu and on the inside there is a plug called bdm on which or you can sardarci the pin strip or the press with needles special..
in jtag the provides epertura ecu only that you have to solder the wires on the board..the marelli 1.3 mjt is in the jtag

The marelli family MJ6 FAL or MJO opel you are in BDM having cpu MPC5xxx
The marelli family, MJ8 and MJ9 FCA you do not in JTAG because they are cpu MPC56xx but read protocol JTAG
Gray cable BDM multicolor the JTAG
The BDM port with the same connection reads and writes the entire ecu Jtag use a connection to read and another to write and often requires you to make bridges x to enable the reading or writing see example of ecu DENSO....
