I don't think is feasible, it should be also updated the Firmware of the tool, but I don't think you're on the go, most likely you lock the tool !

I read just now in the discussion, I bought the 2.06 in china.... and I assure you that ? just a nice and good hoax..... ? it is on their computers 2.06 but with the firmware of the interface is identical to the first 3.099, I know for sure that the official version on their computers 2.04 has fw 4.030..... so according to me if you dont change the firmware of the processor..... we make a little update!!!
I can also add that in the package they sent me the cd of 1.89 :/
