Hello all,
I downloaded from the network, the software powerdyn, which from what understand should be a software to be able to do a test power of the car in the street.... someone s? tell me if it works with any obdii cable/usb to connect the drive to the pc?

hi I have tried using the cable elm327 and I have to say that after losing 1h to capture data related to the machine(in the test a great point 1.3mjt90cv)at the end, the results were not entirely real.....I have not tried it on other cars but I was a little disappointed ... I was expecting better...hello cioa

the data are only indicative.

Exact, with Powerdyn we can obtain a graph indicative of the performance...not an exact value to 100%.
The important ? be able to do the detection in optimal conditions ( slope road especially ) and with the settings of the vehicle in a precise way.

As said it is still a "estimate" ;)

hello I use this to see the percentage of increases after the changes and I have to say that for what you spend ? very good, doesn't it ? necessary to retrieve the data of the vehicle, just set it correctly and make the learning of the relations of exchange ? by acceptable results..

I have always been "killed" to find the data from the workshop manuals and technical data sheets, I've never used the learning of the gear ratios...I have to try :D

trusted make the learning of the reports, put weight including driver, gasoline, oil, etc size tires, do the test power in 3 or 4 gear do you give? a result that is not real but from my tests and acceptable

Use the 1.6 and compared to the pi? common 1.3 or 1.4 ? that changes a lot...but nothing.

Tried it a while ago and compared to a test on the same my car on a dynamometer real was decidedly optimistic (about 15hp more? about 220 of the rolled actual)
Anyway, for an estimate before-and-after pu? also serve, in view of the simplicity, the important ? try to set the parameters of the pi? "right" possible or totally wrong...

I would also say far more? if you can, otherwise the "transient" they are too influential to have reliable estimates through numerical calculations (and ? what this software does NOT detect the power, the estimate using the numbers...)

In France c'? an app on the iphone that you need to make measures to guarantee the reels !
It's called PERFEXPERT - for the price of 9€ (a little money to spend) I always use to make measurements !

Try to look on the net, they say those who use it which is almost the same as that of the rollers.

The application ? interesting, it seems to work like powerdyn only that the acceleration instead of being obtained from the variation of the laps in time ? derived from the accelerometer of the phone... This according to me adds a possible error in the measurement.
You should try it, maybe the part of the program that acceleration to get the power ? made better than that of powerdyn....

too? the rollers are not always accurate and have different tolerances, it always depends on that quality? and what price are you willing to pay at the time of purchase.

..***** and you spend eat it! ;-)

The data are indicative, but passable for the price.

I know of no other system, Rollers, Powerdyn via induction ? Powerdyn OBD...
