View The Full Version : Write by eobd with file read in bdm

pippo65
Hello all,I wanted to know if it is possible to write by obd with Galletto, a file read in bdm, but always with the Cock.
Thanks.

ugoboss
I think it is almost always possible, I often do it, on the bosch group, fiat edc16c39, edc16c34, lower siemens, then you have to see case by case, you try it, evil that goes with the resume is always in the bdm.

Sure you can do it, if it is edc16 you can write directly, if it is marelli 6jf also, if it is marelli 6f3 you have to first merge the files of the micro 513 kB with that of the flash, 2048 kB getting a file that is 2.5 MB, and then you can write.

Not all ecu's are read completely from the obd. And this is also true of some edc16 type the VAG

pippo65
I say all that,I have to write the file to flash, 2048 kb read in bdm ecu NEVERTHELESS, 6F3 my G. Point
on another Marelli 6F3 of a friend by a plug-in obd with galletto v 54.
Everything here.

CLAUDIO.
you can write safely hello

pippo65
you can write safely hello

Ok,Thanks.
Hello.

Perhaps you have not read his request, he spoke not of reading but you can write to a file read in bdm, via obd.
All files edc16 read in bdm can be written in the obd without any modification, however, the opposite can't do it, because in the serial read only the area of the maps.

For the marelli 6f3 instead, the discourse changes, the cock shall not only accepts the file to 2048 kB of flash, but it wants a file that is 2.5 MB, which you get simply joining in with the ecm or with any hex-editor the file that is read by the micro more the flash.

If the file obd and bdm are different, I prefer not to venture to write in obd a file that is structurally different from what I'd read in the obd. It is better to read from the obd, edit, and write.

Hello Matthew,I don't understand the last part of your speech, because you say that the rooster does not accept the flash file from 2048 on the Marelli 6F3?
I've always written alone and no problem.

pippo65
Update: File written by obd with Galletto,no problem!!!
Thank you all for the answers.

pippo65
Usually the cock on the 6f3 accepts only one file, 2.5 MB, just trying to upload a file from 2048 kB resistent media gives you the error, probably the Grandepunto be the exception.

I'll give you a tip born from experiences of personal, marelli, are a bit special, you lock up easily during writing from the obd, especially with the cockerel v54 (this is the most terrible of the clones), if you don't have a specific tool write them always in the bdm and you're comfortable.

Ok Matthew,in the future I will follow your precious advice.

Thanks and to the next.
Hello.

All the jg3, musa and idea are excluded, the cock of the law in the virtual, and then pulls out always file from 2 megs, which then writes quietly in a moment, unlike the two mentioned before reads and writes directly to the socket and pulls out the file from 2.5 mg with biblical times... like 100 minutes to read and 40 write.

Hello,I am on my G. P I a NEVERTHELESS, 6F3, when I plug in the Cock in the obd and I read the ecu I virtual the red,why is that?

blackwolf76
For exactly the reason above... The gpunto is only virtual from the obd...

If bdm is the law the same size that it reads from the Obd you can write right???
For the Marelli also the panda the law 2.5 mb with the cock, the kess instead? Where the cock-law, the micro also does the kess?

blackwolf76
If it is the same size you can write safely to the file Bdm to obd. The Panda, however, if not mj8, that is, from 2010 onwards, it is always a 6jf, and the read and write from obd, but the file is 448k.
