Hi guys
I'm making the ability to write the file to a EDC15P from VW or Seat, and write it on a EDC15P audi...
according to you... since you aesthetically are the same... you can write to the file of the ecu, or maybe a cupra fr 160cv on an audi 130hp?

don't make experiments at random, the units have numbers, hw and sw, and to replace you have to follow these, then there are units conpatibili, but in any case must be of the same family, then everyone does what they want but on these things and always moves with a logic.

Aesthetically they are all identical......enough!!! The most sensible thing you can do is to take inspiration (if mechanically the 2 machines have the same components) from the map of the cupra and transfer the values of the maps on the files of the audi.

turbine, ic, map sensor, and camshaft bearing...

I wanted to take the software of the 0281011852 ibiza cupra fr 160cv with soft 038906019MS SG7000, and write to the file on my 0281010981 with soft 038906019FT SG1577...

I don't know how much changes between the two, aesthetically and also within the chips are placed on the same layout, I don't know how is implemented the communication between the bus and the processor... but wishing I could give it a try... only that I fear... someone of you has ever taken a chance like that?

I only have the file read from a cupra...

by comparing the numbers of hw in the database, bosch do not seem compatible, then if the two sw you can throw an eye on and see the difference in the portfolios.

Hello, the file from another ecu you can enter by checking the part of the Hardware is the same both edc 15 and edc16, the difference in edc 16 you must enter not only the file but also the micro..

I checked the files and they are very different in the management, while in the maps ce little difference to me if the write is not in motion, I there would try even, but if you want to enhance your I'd work on your file.

I tried to write the file, but arrived at 75% giving me time-out error, then there will be some difference even ****llo hardware, I managed to restore it ricodificandola from scratch...
I could also try to copy the individual maps, make a copy and paste, but I notice some of the differences of points, type my has the SOI at a different temperature than that of the ibiza, not to match some of the values, type I a soi 85°, while on my fa 80° and then 90° (for example, but also change many other maps)
I think the only solution at this point is process my file, and goodnight...

If the same number as the hardware of the ecu type in your file already scodificato should start

If the differences you have only bp scaled, you can easily do copy and paste.. for the management, instead, you should anyway to copy those maps (even with the bp scaled) and bringing them into the file of your ecu's original without copy and paste in different file.

I suppose that having the same power and management of the same in the map (I think), copy the maps to the turbo and limiters, raising the limiters and you can use it without problems.
The sensors do not know if they are managed xo.. You have to try r hope
