View The Full Version : Problem Audi A4 ecu engine
Hello everyone I have a question for you: I have a Audi A4 2,0 140cv 8v(b7) edc16u31, which often have starting problems due to an error in the ABS caused from the engine control unit; in the audi, they say they replace the ecu and now I would like to know if you should find a ecu with the same HW and SW number Bosch or if any ecu scodificata total to put in motion the car? a BDM I can write the flash ori scodificata on the ecu used?
thanks for the tips.
which errors do you have? do a test with hair from a body shop and a refrigerant spray(the search failures)to see if the defect is accentuated by heating or cooling the ecu, in the vicinity of the flasks, if it is confirmed replace flash.....
I P0522 and P0722....that is the ecu I know and is safe...even audi have done of the evidence....only that I wanted to understand what the ecu to find....I have no way to replace the flash to me is more convenient to change the ecu because I can find no problems...
search on ****** with the number bosch 0281..... etc!!!
You have said that it is a edc16u31, then you have to find an ecu that has at least the same HW bosch, that is the number that starts with 02810...... then you can reprogram with a file that has the same sw that you installed and try it.
ah here then is the number bosh then HW is the same the one thing that can not be ignored.....so if I were to find the same number as bosh but for example, instead of finding the number of 03G906016KN I find a 03G906016gn okay?
sorry guys but it is possible that there is a compatibility between the various ecu? for example, I try bosch 0281013293 may not be able to use a bosch 028103292? there is a table of compatibility?
Maybe it is and maybe not...
To be safe better to have the numbers, HW the same.
Anyway, P0522 and P0722 not, and who do not start the car. Can pero indicate issues with the ECU, but after you have controlled everything.

A different number of times does not imply anything ****llo HW, but other times they do change things. You should open it and see if the inside is all the same. At the end if it is equal you can do the transformation.
However both are EDC 16U31, then you can do the transformation.
Guys I take the best spot to give you a bit of info: I tried to clone a ecu edc16u31, and nothing to do the car is in motion but has problems of failures of various....the case of the ecu with different hardware...it's to be expected...
I have proceeded with the replacement flash and it went well for some time now again the same problem,in fact I risostituito the flash and it's fine again....but secosndo you from thing can depend on the fact that the failure of the flash?
according to my experience you have been unlucky with the second flasks, except if it was recovered by ecu set aside for a defect attributable to the flasks.
these memories jumping for structural reasons them, not in consequence of anomalies of the circuit with which they are working(it is not the ecu that ruin the flasks).
so if the flasks you used now is safe, ok you are affixed..........
no, I took this from the other ecu....it was new to pat....and it had not been simple....this leaves me puzzled...being new should not give rise to this phenomenon.....
well, I hope that it lasts as long as possible because the owner is a good client but very demanding.....he has many friends and relatives from me and I would not like to remain in walk while working....I already know who is the culprit....
at least the hardware should be the same otherwise you have problems
