View The Full Version : Replacement Ecu Bosch EDC16C39

tranky
Hi to all,
I have already discussed about my problem on other threads but having the need for more information on the major issues, I decided to open a new discussion.
Let's talk about a Alfa 147 1.9 JTDM 120 hp with ecu EDC16C39 HW 882 - SW 005
I have had no problems, as for a fault in the ecu, I had to change fuel pump and injectors..
Not having available to other control units the same, I have temporarily borrowed a controller with HW 937 (I think), but it was not compatible with my car as in the MES did not recognize any data on any drive, but replacing the chip 95640 from my to this, the car started without problems.
I ordered it through the Baya a EDC16C39-882 regenerated at the price of€ 100 (the maximum that I can afford at the moment) and I sostutuito the chip on the new ecu, but the car is not starting and is giving me problems, the encoding of the key.
I tried to plug in the MPPS cable but does not recognize me any data at all.. nothing...
I tried it with MES and, in addition to the error EGR that I have personally tapped, brings me an error P0601 (control Unit Faulty - memory eeprom).
Available I have only these tools and I would like to ask you how to solve the problem as the car will not start either :
- Welder & Tin & SucchiaStagno
- The same Unit of the new but faulty (in case they are needed other components to switch)
- Cable MPPS
- Cable Diagnosis changed me for the Adapter 1-2-3 with dipswitch selections
Currently at the start of the drive it tells me that the code is wrong.
How can I fix that without BDM and without spending a lot of money by having what is described ?

ah I forgot to say that using MPPS does not allow me to write by giving me a error that I can't see as it is lightning fast!
Thanks

Thanks so much for the info even though I found that the chip is cooked, since that rimontandolo in the old control unit gives the same error on MES.
I will replace it as soon as I can, but I would like to know if having extracted the map with MPPS, using BDM, you can reschedule or go scodificato for the replacement on the ecu?

If you do not want to use the bdm you have to unglue the eeprom from the new, read it with a programmer and then rivergini the file with soft, dedicated, and then reload it in the eeprom and the risaldi, then put in the bike the drive without any problem.

PS: bought a interface, which is the bdm and the reader OBD serious and throw away that MPPS. With about 100 euro, and perhaps even less if you look carefully, you can take a cock V54 that has all of these features and you would save a lot of trouble... or in the care of someone experienced in your part of. To do complete operation by the BDM is not time you need more than 10 to 15 minutes.

I will take the cock seen that initially a few months ago when I first started to take an interest in this topic, I decided having regard to the various guides, buy MPPS which has simple functionality from the outside of the unit. It is useful to start with, but definitely not very professional when you go to interact on the card and the low resolution of the problems. Recommended for newbe but, I repeat, very professional!
Thanks for taking the time dedicatomi.
I will update you as soon as I have news, for the moment, I go to the shoe and tickets! (s3ss)

Just to close the topic, I bought a new ecu updated with sw 722 with scodifica partial, and I resolved at the first stroke of the key.
Sorry I forgot about the post...
Thanks ;)

with much less compravi a bdm and clonavi ;)

And where the clonavo?
I anyway had to buy an ecu and the cost of the verginamento was null and void.
Now I have the means and knowledge for a possible similar problem and I solve by myself..
Ca**or is hard to start from zero but it gives satisfaction when you have a problem that you CAN and KNOW solved by you!
