View The Full Version : fuel consumption and performance sportcoupe
Hello Guys...
after you have done all the tests of the world now it's up to the ecu.
After the removal of the swirl , the fuel consumption is increased dramatically... and now I have come to the conclusion of trying to improve the turbulence within the intake manifold acting on the rail and on the injection.
I would like to submit it to your attention...

the file 1 is the start... the 2 changes
Tell me what you think? second, you could go to reduce fuel consumption and improve the delivery ??? I don't need power because the medium has 300k with nag 5...
Thanks in advance !

then the file attachments 1 and 2 are exactly the same also I give you a piece of news, the file 1 is not original, and is mapped in a soft way and also maluccio and also the egr off.

Thank you very much for your prompt response,
in fact, I was wrong to create the rar... now I
I know that may seem wrong, but I have analyzed the curves and the fact ratings are approximate, and in order to interpret the speed of the air inlet and meet the losses at low speeds where it consumes a lot more and seems to stay "tried"..
It is a particular condition of the usual maps, made to give more power, .. but I know well that you are the best person suited to give me an advice before the situation worse!!! :)

watch if I have to give you my advice this map does not go for nothing also good, I don't remember where I visot well as a decrease, and then myself, however, I have always said there is no better map that sodisfi the customer then I would say to try it and evaluate yourself, so it is not a map where you can do damage.

Thanks for your valuable advice... I will try and tell you.
In this case, what would you do in order to put this problem ??? I have seen that many work only on the torque limiters... but with the automatic transmission I am afraid that does not solve much...
The injection system has nothing to do with the intake manifold, you cannot improve the turbulence acting on the rail. Usually the swirl lend a hand to low and very low speed. On the 1.9 M-Jet will often break down and they end up in the middle of the valves, causing serious damage.

quote in full, the turbulence is derived only from the geometry of the ducts
the swirl are used precisely to vary the geometry, just when ce n'? pi? need, what? at low speed when the speed? air ? low

I agree fully with You. But not being able to act on the geometry of the conduits (at least for the moment, I'm looking for a workaround for now I'm going to explain not to be' reality'..) the only way to try to meet the load of the low speeds and I think that's what.
Of course, this is the technical tests... not of certainties, because between the theory and the practice, unfortunately, in the engines, there is always an abyss
Anyway, to update you... with the map posted the consumption went down by about a km to the litre.
The performance at the low are much improved, and all in all the answer is pleasant without incurring problems of excessive thrust or another seen the age of the machine and its 300000km.
In the meantime, after several full verification I did also review the injectors because one had started to blow.
On the Bench were all within the limits except for one slightly off.
However, I decided to proceed with the revision of all of them and have now disappeared every trace of smoke, even in the accelerated abrupt .
the consumption came from 10-12 to 13-15. I would say that we start to move towards the right path.
Now it remains for me to test a few more full and then I'll see' if you replace the map sketched or leave it so....
PS
What really curious,..
I finally figured out where the instrument of control of the consumption takes and it calculates the miles ahead..
In addition to the ****llo of the tank measuring the quantity of fuel injected, but what is most important to measure the return from the injectors.
In fact, the system now measures just.... what has never been done in so many years down the road. Probably when the correction reaches the limit, the calculation becomes too rough, and then wrong!
