problem smart 450

Hi guys, I have taken it from a friend, a autocom cdp + with software 2013.3 . I have connected to my smart 450 800 cdi but I get error connection on the engine control unit. In the control unit instrumentation and reset the coupon links. Does anyone know how I can fix or if this type of diagnosis is not good on a smart
