View The Full Version : Some problems in the bdm with edc16u1 vag
guys I open this post to ask about a problem on a edc16u1 mounted on a golf 5 tdi 140cv, I carried out various tests in order to be able to read in bdm, the cock does not identifies and gives me error while ktag the law, but while doing the backup, all is fine, when I select the flash to read it, once you get to the 99% gives me error cecksum, believing that it was the fault of the software I run the procedure by downloading and installing visual c++2005, then I tried it with a edc16c39, and he read everything to perfection, even the writing has done with success, I went back to the edc16u1, but nothing arrived at the 99% gives me this error, and in spite of under say that reading ? was done correctly, with the the cock I was able to find the pinout, and I have read a tour from the comb, ditto for the c39, I would like to understand if the rooster has a few bugs on the edc16u1 bdm and if the error cecksum of ktag ? it is a bug, thanks to all
Check the connection bdm the comb or the strip. To me, what had happened was that I read wrong the file and it was only a matter of connections. The gallo acknowledged the ecm but it's not reading correctly. Repositioned the e xxx everything is ok
thanks mark,I checked out the most? times but are not able to connect, the error "micro not supported" gave it to you?
guys I managed to solve ;-) just change the voltage bdm from 3.3 to 5.0, and then the cock that reads and writes all great, only thing it does not correct the cecksum write on flash and micro

Are you sure it's a EDC16?
I'm sorry! how do you change the voltage?
you need to do so?, go to the screen bdmjtag mpc55/56, when you are in the screen of the bdm, look in the top, where c'? the voltage, there are 2 points, usually the one that is selected ? 3.3 volts, but at the back if we clicked on 'c'? the possibility? choose 5volt
I had the same problem solved by changing the voltage from 3.3 to 5 using the fgtech v54.....
But on the version v50 c'??... I do not find it
I don't know but I think of it, the v54 be there for sure
I use the v54 remember v53 had this function. To change the voltage it needs to connect to the ecu in the bdm select in the screen 5 volts. ..
yeah, probably the ecu of the vag group, require higher voltage to be fed, or at least the u1 requires it, I do not know the other, for the ktag the problem does not arise

I have read several, but I always left the voltage to default and I have never had any problems.
but you're saying with the ktag or with the rooster?
but you're saying with the ktag or with the rooster?
gallo v53 clone
Probably ? a little scrauso the power supply is connected to the bdm...
I use a v48 with power supply 2A recovered from an old router ******* and I have never had any type of problem in the bdm... if not for the negligence of my.
quellom that use usually ? 1.5 amps stabilized maybe ? for that
I read the other night a MED9.1 that substantially ? the EDC16 of gasoline... everything is ok with V48 and without any special setting.... power supply 12V 30A stabilized
From where I read how to set the tension?? I checked the documents and there is nothing. Wrong voltage only not the law?
