View The Full Version : Alfa 159 mapped and problems to a minimum.
Hi, few days ago I made a map and defappizzare my alfa 159 150 hp (152cv on the bench)
The coach, very smart in my opinion, ? managed to get out almost 30cv in more than the original, and 51nm of torque.
The problem for? ? this, on the tour taxis a wonder without any problem and damage while on the road after a nice pull and a stop at the traffic light, after about 20-30 seconds the car goes into recovery without any warnings. Off on again and again like a bolt of lightning.
Under-diagnosis error P0091 fuel Pressure regulator (inlet of the high pressure pump) Signal is not valid.
In the end I had to settle for a map and more soft with the 15cv in pi (167 about)
Anyway, before this I had tried an additional control unit that gave the early error P0090 error sensor rail pressure, at which point I replaced the sensor with one more new alfa gt with less than 50,000 km. The piece differs only on attack of the plug that you link above, but to the side.
when I changed it, the car has taken place and shot......I remounted for curiosity? the additional control unit and...tadaaaaaaa error P0091 and not more p0090.
Well improvement?!?!?!?!?!?! I don't know.....
the fact is that even at the minimum pressure increase, if schiacciavo the gas pedal at low speeds, from 3? then, as soon as more than 2900 rpm, the car went into recovery, with a resulting error, and the car that was not more.
Anyway, I noticed that if I took the car in those regimes tramquillo without sinking too eper then crush to the fund after the 3000....no damage......

Absolutely not, without the ecu everything is ok, with the map quiet, everything is ok! This map will have lowered the pressure of the rail to avoid the error.
Anyway, with the ecu, I feel that giving a little gas and increase the rpm from idle up, on the move, c'? as a boost at 2900 rpm and according to me ? to that error.

I had the same problem with a bravo 2.0 jtd just mapped, it gave me the same error and the cause ? the pump of the high pressure, you have damaged valves inside

Well I took a lot of that stuff from the south and paying it on and off 1/3 of what I pay here.

And a classic on the 159. First disassemble the pump, the low pressure in the tank and check that there is no dirt inside. Usually, the dtc reported to the regulator is out for lack of sufficient fuel under certain conditions. With the map ori no problem, but by changing the pressure in the rail appears. For the replacement of the high pressure pump does not require disassembly of the distribution. On the pulley there are two holes of 6 mm, putting in phase, the engine must be the same as with many holes drilled and tapped on the pump casing, the screw two screws are a bit long, 6mm, unscrew the nut of the pulley and the game is done. Made so many with the same problem.
