hello to all.
I would like to tell you about an experience that I recently had with a Opel Astra G 1.4 16v petrol 2001 ( of the family). It all began? when during a trip with a tow attached, suddenly the car, I abbandon? in the middle of the road, he died and did not want to know again. Again only many hours later after that I had to come to the rescue to take me home. "it is the typical problem of the sensor on the motor shaft" I thought to myself; so that was the first thing that I tried to replace, even given its low cost.
After the replacement the car you comport? well for some time, but surely without any warning, came back to the same problem, leaving me to walk during another output (thankfully without a hitch this time). I quote again the machine home with relief, and I went immediately to search for the problem that is obviously derived from the sensor (even if it can? happen to find the value of the new factory). So I tried an ignition coil new, because I noticed every once in a pattern of 3 ignitions in spite of the candles they were new! nothing to do, the problem did not derive either from the coil.
My patience was really put to the test! I noticed that when the machine is not put in motion not heard the noise of the fuel pump turned on, so I decided to try a used one but things did not improve! With balls the size of a house (actually a castle) I do not lost heart and began to think of a failure in electronics: first I was not very convinced of this road since? I thought that was not compatible with a problem is so sporadic!
I noticed that when the car was in the block, not even the forced activation of the diagnosis, were able to activate the fuel pump! it was just a problem of the ecu!! The idea of replacing it I do not pass? even for a moment, for the mind because of their exorbitant price that exceeds the value of the car! But the problem was solved: I found the wiring diagram, I studied and I found the solution! I have linked the activation of the pump (that works with negative mass, so now it is no more? controlled by the control unit but directly from the framework, with the positive!
I know that this is a drastic solution, and from a point of view could also be seen as dangerous, since? it is no more? detached from the switch inertial safety, but always better to change the ecu!
It was a bad experience from which I'm happy to be able to escape!
I don't know if any of you out ? never had a similar experience.
however, I would like to know what the hell happens to the ecu in these cases! how ever it behaves so? from what is the problem and the situations in which it presents itself? who already has had a similar experience as you ? led?
I wait for your answers for a comparison!
