View The Full Version : ford focus 1.6 tdci engine failure

michele30
Good evening to all, I'm asking for info seen that today, and I' happened to this thing.
I entered a ford focus 1.6 telling me that he had turned on the light engine, and if I would have made a diagnosis, left the car in the afternoon I take the car and I notice that the light is turned on, and the only message in the picture if I remember correctly, " the failure of the motor system " and a red light next to the display ( the classic spy mil orange instead of off )
I make the diagnosis with two instruments and gives me error only on the glow plugs, check the spark plugs and I see that it must be any of the 4.
I do the order of the spark plugs, I call the owner and tell him of this spark plug, he tells me talking about the machine not walked even then in recovery.
Tomorrow I have to do to make a diagnosis more accurate, and is ever such a thing.
Now I have the doubt, can the four glow plugs to send in the recovery of the machine, and do not walk?
Ever tried something similar to anyone?

you on the ford glow plugs, they send in the recovery of the car....just last week made a focus 1.6 tdci with the same problem, changed the spark plugs and everything is ok....pay attention that are a bit annoying to change

I confirm that, unfortunately, ford is such bullshit x do crazy people

today the spark plugs play a very important job.....I on the psa group a car in recovery'.....which, among other things, the no-load should not exceed even the 3000 rpm about.....

The same problem occurs on all the cars that fit that type of motor drive and, then, of the ecu.

the same problem as me ? happened today in a c-max always, 1.6 tdci, I didn't think that the glow plugs were causing all of this

hftdelta
Unfortunately almost all the ford give that problem, because they use the glow plugs when you accelerate to a high rpm to help combustion. for that when the electron goes into recovery

faberecu
true , happened to me , but I knew told by connecting to the neuro....

giuseppeturbo
you confirm to me, and happened the same machine, I changed and everything 0k

eye on them, even sometimes if you happen to find the spark plugs in order replaced the relay!!

by keeping an eye on the web in commerce c are extractors for glow plugs that work great....avoid unnecessary loss of time

Hi
I have a ford transit 2.4 "occasionally" turn on the malfunction indicator light engine and goes into the recovery, the diagnosis recommended that the control wiring igniettori, the fact but ? everything is ok, but usually I turn off the appearance a bit and power back up and passes him. It all begins with the flashing of the light the glow plugs, I wonder if it is not the problem you reported here.

Hi

faberecu
if you have pmpa hp delpy , throw in the pump or try to revise , but you eat the body

....

marco_evolution
You have done what is recommended from the time of diagnosis for the transit? I know the transit 2.4 does not suffer from the same problem of the 1.6....at least when I captain that should be the recovery and 90% for problems to the egr.

rimec
The light of the glow plugs is flashing, engine failure fixed. lights up during normal use I can not report the nuances

rimec
I was diagnosed with tecnotest and with autocom both advise that you check the wiring to the injectors, which I have done in detail.
