Hello all, some time ago I bought a BDM100 to solve a problem on my car, which fortunately I fixed that. Given that I had the BDM to the house to get the powder I have found a ECU EDC16C8 from the demoman to do some testing. Practically after you open the ECU in question, I downloaded the E2PROM to try to make a scodifica partial.

I downloaded a file of 4Kb, and I tried to process with a software, only that I returned an error on the size of the file. Reading here and I realized that the file to be processed must be set to 2Kb, in the forum in the download section I found a full read of the ecu on which to do some test and the E2PROM and downloaded from the forum was set to 2Kb. By comparing with a player the hex my file with the one forum I saw that it was exactly half. So I thought I'd open the E2PROM in the ECM and split the file with the proper function after which? I tried the 2 files successfully and then I have them gathered in one single to be able to reload with the BDM100.

I do not know if ? the correct procedure and I had some doubt about.

Hello.. usually to make a scodifica, or any changes on the E2Prom, ? always advisable to dissaldarla and read it to the tour individually, not BDM. In this way you have the correct file extension of the file and the sw will not give you error....

Thanks for the response, but seeing on the net some test files I think I have the wrong great. But starting from a file of 4Kb ? can still try to do a partial or I'm wrong?

But on the edc 16c8/9 c'? a 95160 who read in the tour d? extension of 2 kb, so if the program can select the protocol edc 16c8/9, and you've read a file in bdm, 4-kb, he you get error for the size of the file. According to me if you need to work on the e2p you read them at the counter and go quiet.
