Hi to all, ? some days that I try to understand the question Tprot: from what I understand ? protection for writing to the serial line to the ecu edc17/med17(there are others??);this type of ecu is to be read in the boot with the tool interface to read the password and then unlock it....cos? after having made a backup, you can test the maps from the serial....
for? I don ? clear a thing:but in the boot anyway I can read and write this ecu?then the tprot tool only serves to unlock the ecu from the serial?
an ecu with tprot 10(at which we have arrived??) I can do it in the boot with an interface that has, for example, only the tool tprot8?
could someone list all the ecu currently on the market that are tricore and how should it be done?

I have read that these units (and then it may be that I'm wrong) they have a password you want to change and you can write them down later in boot mode.. what hw would make them?

that is a password I know and I also understood that with the protocol tprot of the various interfaces you can unlock the ecu, but I would like to understand if this release only serves to make the scriptures in the serial....or ? also need to write to the boot tricore,then I am not with what you say because? unlocking you do it right in the boot....
