View The Full Version : Problem EGR fiat Bravo 1.6 mjet 2008 - How to proceed?
Hello all, I wanted to ask you an opinion on how to proceed with a problem on my fiat Bravo.
The car ? 2008, 1.6 mjet 105HP with 110.000 Km.
At about 90,000 Miles I changed under warranty the EGR valve (new original) why? I ? happened two times to have the engine light on, from the logs it was highlighted a problem on the valve and then to me ? been replaced.
A few days ago, after a journey of about 500 km, you ? turned on the light and I saw almost immediately the feeling of "lack" of power from the engine. In practice, I could accelerate as much as I wanted to and give gas that the machine is not the saliva of laps and was not moving forward!
I turned it off and back on, and the machine has started to work regularly. I ? happened after about 1 hour the same thing. Finally, I continued the journey to the other 500km with engine light on but no problems.
This morning I connected to the obd and I'm attaching the result...I have to say that I'm using the car and the light ? off.
P0489 EGR Valve control | No signal
P0487 EGR Valve position | Signal high
P0488 EGR Valve position | Signal low
What would you recommend for me?
1) go Back into FIAT and again request the change of the EGR?
2) Not worry about the problem, and attributed the cause maybe a diesel fuel "dirty" ? In fact I have done a full dispenser in the open countryside...
3) In multiecuscan I found a function called "the EGR exchanger exclusion valve"? What does it do? Should eliminate the operation of the EGR?
4) On my old 147 had stuck with the plate on the EGR, can you? do about this?
5) I've read that you can? delete the EGR from the mapping...I can do it with my cable (I think it is a K-Line can - blue color purchased on ebay some time ago)

If ? in warranty get it back... to get it checked, fixed this,
I advise you to every way to be so close from the first trainer in your area in order to avoid other problems and unnecessary expenses.

or go to your mechanic and ask if he knows any trainer...
or if c'? someone of the forum ? from your parts...
if not send me a **** administrators that you proporanno their equipment...
Exclude the egr from the map and solve 100% of the problem or that ? warranty you change since you pay nothing.......

Hello look I often use multiecoscan and you can not? remove the egr probably ? an actuator ke test if it works or not at least the edc16c39 it works well, for toglerla you have to have a interface x to read and write the map type the mpps galletto etc....and then once you have read you have to have a program that lets you open the map, and after the drop, if you have not but made before the council, as written above, to the trust or to a trainer or here in the forum will help you for sure. Consider ke if you get it wrong the makkina may not go + in motion, or if while re-enter the map on your car if you lock the scripture, then, are bitter cabbages...

I agree with you , mine was a response to the message of beppe.c who spoke flanges
in any case, the flange a ****th e general pu? use when you suspect that mechanically the egr does not close well (and then the off switch may not have the desired effect), but surely this you already know :)
