The old computer

Good evening to all guys, poking around in the cellar I came across an old pc, a pentium MMX with Windows 98 operating system. Clean formatted ? a splinter. What do I do now I throw? Reading on different forums I've read that some older programs run only on the pc that have processors pi? lenses now. There is? ? a hoax? If ? true what programs are they? Thanks!

It is not me, unless you need programs that run under dos. Now Windows 98 ? obsolete for various software and compatibility? of the drivers.

At least a Pentium2 with XP sp3 and a gig of RAM. According to me ? the basic configuration for the best and try to bomb to turn security fully? programs and manage the interfaces of all types.

Ihihihihi! No okay guys as the computer I have an old pentium 4, it was just to know if it was true in this stuff to have an old pc for old programs... my question was more? what else addressed to understand this!

? good news this.
I am often looking for old computer traveling with win 98 and have the serial and parallel ports.
a computer cos? gi? I have it but I always think one of the basis why? I even old programs processing unit traveling with DOS
I also have an old eprom programmer that requires the serial instrumentation and programming that works on the parallel port.
will be good in the future.......
if you have old programs, I advise you to keep it and keep it well.

are tools and programs that allow you to program the Bosch M1.5.5, ME 2.1, ME3.1 , ME7.3.1 , the control units of the JTS alfa romeo.
and from my experience, the equipment in " modern" that make the JTS are not as reliable.

On this type of pc you have made changes? Type 32 megs of RAM on the processor enough? These programs work in DOS? I have the interfaces on Windows 98?

I have not made changes, but have been in service for at least 12 - 13 years old and I could be wrong.
here run both programs that require DOS and others that require win98, such as those for programming of the motors JTS 156 ,gt, spider,brera, 159.
