You've probably wrong to change the string that operates the egr. I had a similar problem a few days ago with the MPPS v5 and I figured out the problem.

Basically when I open the file with the hex editor and go to look for the command line, it shows what you are interested in, click with the right mouse button and select overwrite, instead of erase and rewrite.

in the meanwhile ? a good rule to always check the length of the file, and we recommend that, with what laws you have to write, if I remember correctly, with magpro the file must sessere 1ffff and 448kb you can try with a file that is not the mod that is now the place.
