hello to all the forum I have a problem on vw golf 4 tdi injector pump 115hp engine ajm year 99, the defect fail to start, sporadic and occasional, dtc active encountered p0321 input rpm signal incorrect code vag 16705, the tests carried out were the following sensor replacement gini motor shaft and the problem persists,change the wiring harness from engine ecu to the sensor turns the problem persists,
monitored the square wave during the failure to start ? in this I see the laps in the diagnosis ampiazza and shape are the same as for when, I'm thinking something with an abnormality in the crankshaft but I found on the oscilloscope once the car is perfect, turn off go to turn on and not restart, reseal the framework for further attempts, and the part I do not know that fish hang on I'm thinking of the ecu as the engine, but only as a last resort, any advice or tip ? well accepted

when the machine and the bike hot, and see if with a stroke of the accelerator strong the car is off..if you ....the phonic wheel '!have you tried to see if sie loose with a screwdriver!!

Hello legendarislave, to me ? happened with the golf, replacing the sensor did likewise after pi? a week of tests, oscilloscope, etc.. I risostituito the sensor.. problem solved.. it was the sensor again which lacked too...

monitors the status of the battery, especially in "cue-start"....
and even more important to check the starter motor....
to me ? happened the same problem....
in practice it was the starter motor worn out to ****llo brushes which absorbed a lot of the current privandone at the same time to the ecu for its rpm signal....
I agree with the suggestions of the colleagues who have preceded me, and I would add : when you check the crankshaft sensor, also check the distance between the sensor and the wheel and if the wheel ? integra.

I had a golf that on the basis of how quickly I turned the key it started or not. incredible, but it was the sensor of turns:mad:

problem solved thanks to all of the precious advice, changed the battery and checked the starter the error does not occur anymore,munro we've taken in full
