View The Full Version : 1.6 HDI 110cv ripping/dies
Hi to all...
I didn't really know where to post, but I need an opinion of someone who has their hands in the dough on these things, let's see if it comes out something good!
Peugeot 3008 1.6 hdi 110cv FAP
Especially when the outside temperature ? low, between 1600 and 1900 rpm tears (not always), and sometimes even die!! Without errors and warning lights failure!
I tried a file with deleting the dpf and egr, but did not ? changed ALMOST nothing. I tried it for curiosity? also a file slightly retouched in the usual maps, and did not change almost nothing.
The diagnosis ? was always made with pp2000, so if something is wrong you see...me ? died also when I was diagnosed, and everything was in the norm.
Among other things, another 1.6 hdi edc16c34 (on which I did not put my hand) of a friend of a couple of months ago with a similar problem, only that his tears a lot, but does not die.
The classic problem on which to die mad: has anyone ever solved something similar? There are updates SW peugeot? (in the case the place the ori for comparison)
PS: Peugeot have changed even the ECU under warranty no fix anything :-)
Pu? be some sensor that has the wrong values, but not too wrong to cause a DTC.
This pu? also explain the change of the ECU useless.
What do you mean by ripping?

when he dies then restarts immediately or you have to wait a while before it gets back on the bike?
But, above all, with the ORI these things happen?
Why? if the luca stanca not ? done you also delete the dtc and then with the diagnosis does not see ir? the problem...
It seems to me very strange that dies and not by any dtc
The values of pressures and/or temperatures are within the values "desired" data from the diagnostic/ecu. Indeed, the management ? very accurate, and also the correction of the injectors is close to zero for all four!
The problem occurs with the original vehicle, with the vehicle without the fap/dpf, with the vehicle without the fap/dpf and some slight changes to the parameters of the injection/turbo to try to "find" the problem.
The order above ? chronological, so I have not had trouble with the fap, and now jump out of problems.
With "ripping" I mean that it loses some stroke acceleration, as if each time an injector blew an injection
When he dies from the original it would take a while to resume, after the changes, but they are often immediately restarts.
The removal of the DPF and EGR have been reset all the parameters with the diagnosis Peugeot, as usual.
The dtc does not gave them even with the vehicle of the series, so I don't think it can be due to some changes to the electronics...
Brainstorming :-)

To me I would say 9/10 the pressure regulator of the rail.
Connect the drive to a diagnosis with display values and put on rail pressure and see if when you turn off the pressure drops dramatically and suddenly. If you do not ? the regulator could also be the high pressure pump. In your place I would not waste time with the mappings given that I am the common defects related to the components that I have reported.
Well I used all the tools at my disposal to try to get out of it...
Actually when ? died in the diagnosis the rail pressure ? went to zero against a demand of about 500bar. But I thought that it was precisely why? ? dead! We try with the sensor Rail, therefore,....
Thanks for the input ;-)

No need to change the pressure sensor... you need to change the pressure regulator;)
If you do not ? he need to replace the high pressure pump.

when not on again ? them that you need to check the prex rail
check with PP200 the required pressure, measured, and, above all, the cycle of closing of the pressure regulator.
To 1350bar should be about 42% closed. If you see that it goes to, for example, 80% means that the ECU ? went in leak mode. If it leaks and really? not c'? loss of diesel fuel, with a closure of the regulator is above 80%, it exceeds the permissible pressure in an instant and not inject more? nothing = the engine stops suddenly.
Unfortunately PP2000 not ? very fast in the readings and you can't see all that's happening from moment to moment..
You should measure mla pressure with the Lexia, choosing a Citroen that has the same engine.
Ah, the pressure regulator! even better :-)
prover? with Lexia, it seemed to me there were percentage values of cos? high, but actually pp2000 ? pretty slow!!
Thanks again...
It is with great pleasure that we common...
...the customer has sold the car to get rid of the problem :-)
Haha, they were all so?!
For? we'll see how that resolves the issue on the Volvo, since the engine ? the same!
Thanks to all of you!

For me it's not ? a satisfaction when I solve problems... on the contrary.
As for me, I would allowed to take it without finding the cause.... as a matter of pride and personal satisfaction.
But in fact I am amazed at how you ? led!
He paid, and then what ? went to change it with another car! I was nice to solve the problem, why? usually they leave it in l? finch? all not ? affixed!
It will continue? the diagnosis of the other...

I don't know if it can? to be useful, but a similar problem ? occurred at 3008 of my father (2.0 150hp) after the frosts and snow of February, the car started to tear up and losing power and turning itself off randomly , the problem ? fixed in the peugeot replacing all the piping for diesel from the sebatoio to the engine . The technical justification ? was that with the cold weather some of the joints have been damaged. The car is fine appearance, only that it returns the cold to see if the problem reoccurs.
thanks for the contribution!
I have heard also of the basket pump... so, in practice, potentially you have to change anything :-)
you should examine the various things... starting with the pi? comfortable...
anyway, according to the facts ? a problem linked to the arrival of the diesel..

I have had several similar problems on these engines and every time it was something different..
So, to list a few:
Pump CR (but the car is off and the charger)
Fuel filter dirty
The injectors are dirty (solved with additive)
Wax-encrusted rack tank
and finally, success on the 2 cars.... Management of variable geometry (wastegate), resolved by giving 2 rounds shortening the rod. The problem was why? the compensation was happening too slowly, and saw that the car was mapped and it was on the problem of the push-and-pull in acceleration.
Clearly you part from minor problems...but the owner was not happy with the list of possible problems that I've done!
