does anyone know of such a programmer?? ? the "needhams".

I'm playing since a few weeks: at the beginning made me hard to find the software to make it run on XP, and saw that the original software were was floppy....but it's working now.

? a programmer quite dated, communicates through port "printer". I would like to be able to use it in a pc without that port, and to do there? I would like to buy a USB adapter. Do you know if this solution will

co lo even I tried different adapters, usb to parallel, but I have not been able to make it work with the laptop

I ce l I still have this programmer and I used it on 2 notebook with xp, one with lpt on the motherboard and the other with pcmcia adapter lpt

Sorry carmageddon I did not understand what type of adapter that you used you, could you explain that?

What do you think of this programmer? Have you ever had difficulty? to do something in particular?

the programmer ? old and in the past, I used to program dil28, plcc28-32-44, psop44...and worked well...now most programmers have a CAR-ID, support many socket and eeprom and are significantly more? fast and precise.

I noticed that you can not read all of the eprom.
for example, I do not read a ST Microelectonix 27c512. that you know you can? do something to overcome this drawback or not c'? nothing to do? after all, the difference from the other is only in the brand name...
