Mercedes E 320 cdi 204 hp dpf delete?

hi next week I portanoin workshop a mercedes 320 cdi with a dpf
I have not yet read the ECU but it should have a EDC16C2.X (0014464340) in diagniosi bosch told me so
I was wondering if someone has already deleted the dpf with positive feedback on these cars, why? I have been told that you cannot delete
the regeneration mileage? true?
