Scodifica Plo 1.4 TDI EDC17

Hi guys, I have been asked to scodificare a polo 1.4 tdi 2008 year and from what I know, the engine had EDC15, but by controlling the number of the control unit ( 0281012879 ) seems to have EDC17. I have to say that the ecu I have not seen nor have I seen the drive, the contact ? happened over the phone. I wonder if it is really EDC17 and if c'? chance? of scodifica total.
