closing the egr on AUDI A4 (B7) 2000 TDI 140CV

I wanted to know if anyone has been closing in on this audi I have made as usually 16u3 the map in question ? a 16u31 and the machine has the fap, I think that a closure is always like those old or in these controllers will turn the light to attach .bin read with mpps and the .mod......

the egr is used by the fap for the regeneration,then it would be better not to exclude the egr valve unless you also remove the fap

The car has about 288000 km never had a problem fap so if I exclude the risk of clogging.... The problem ? egr why? sometimes it freezes and the machine loses in performance I was thinking and if I close it, which is not completely...

according to me you can close it partially, in some cars in the vag group, you can even have it with the vag com and controllandoti the value on the exhaust gas up to close it almost completely, in order to keep an acceptable range.

ok I have the vag version to 10.6 with sw 908 I have not tried yet, but I have never had any positive results maybe I'm wrong channel? it seems to me that you have to lower a number....... but to control exhaust gas I do it with the vag......

you go in module 01-engine-security access enter the value "12233" and confirm. Then go on a 10-Adaption and select the channel 3 by a stroke of the accelerator and will display the value of "32738" and the value of the intake air. At that point, raise the value to reduce the movement of the egr. But as said magi1984 it is not expedient to close the egr if you still have the fap. I hope I was of help ;)

Humble opinion close, and the egr if you don't do a lot of the city if the car uses to 80 % in milan, leave it open

I have now closed all I tried to control the problem from cold the car seghettava not a bad phase of accellerrazione now with the egr closed, looks like everything is ok, the customer is trying and poster? the results....
