EGR edc16c8 the Alpha and the error p1238 mass air

Hello all,

I have a survey to do:

I disabled the controls egr by mapping a total of about 5 edc16c8 of the Alfa group, 1.9 jtdm 140cv

a little run for more than a year without problems
but the last two that I did after a bit of time to generate the error p1238, relative to the mass of air sucked in is too high.
the contorlli EGR have been deleted, eliminating the four "flat maps" on this type of ecu... but I repeat that 2-3 cars go around a lot without this error...

I doubt that the error refers to some other problem, of course, but since all of the literature refers to the problems of the EGR, the workshops, of course, break the boxes to me :-D

unfortunately, the ******* it does not delete the individual dtc on this ecu....

any idea?

PS: also checked all the hoses and the heat exchanger, no loss...

Can you post the file ori and mod file of one of the two?

Do not mount those valves !

But me and success is always on edc16c8 ke was the electrical part fails and anke with the controls to zero, it gave error.

success to me! Alfa GT, excluding the EGR from the ECU and the continued failure mass air... mechanical part ok, solenoid fault!

I agree with fidodido you definitely need to replace the egr because of the part in dustria l e lectronics failed.

however, right now another of our group, gs has made the same request on the same type of car and with the same error, but as you wrote you ******* does not support to delete the dtc,but to him we sent a ori and mod example of a fiat punto 1.9 mjet edc16c8 where ******* it works if you want we can do it as well with you and you get the idea.

I can confirm that it worked perfectly the file in my case...the error was p1237 but always have a

hello I'm sorry if I quote now the discussion ,I made a gt about two weeks ago and I had to change the electronic unfortunately it was already burned sn arrived late,,,
pero looking at your file you made a mistake and you lospiego immediately lowered to 24-bit affixed 25-in fact I have done ?or the same error and gave me the same problem....
then reset 25 bits in the 4 panettone ? test the error is the.... ok....
