To work on a power unit serves as a tool (E.g. Mpps) that allows you to read and write from the socket ODB. In writing to the drive, you should not turn on the radio, the lights or open the doors; the pc must be connected to the mains with a screen saver, the suspension of the hard disk and antivirus disabled. The car battery must be fully charged or connected to a starter/booster.

I would say that, in principle, from the beginner that I am, it's good for mpps. Remember that with that you can't do the edc17, but you have to use other hardware. I would add that these in addition to be able to read through the obd can even write them down, but according to me you should always do it to tour the edc17, at least the first time to make a backup.
From what I've read and learned on this great forum already? in a couple of days to delete the dpf and dpf's best that you trust the online service since? those programs you talk about, do their duty, but do it in a way that is not optimal. I understand that eliminate other DTC that should not be deleted so better not to use them. (this is for edc16 and 17, and then to other units I don't know). Guys sorry, but if you want to program in the BDM, the control unit must be powered right? But there are transformers with a plug suitable for connecting to the ecu or do you have certain food-pin individually and different for each type of unit?

buying the bdm is available to you almost everything including the power supply .I believe that there are cases where it is necessary to piedinare without opening the central directly on the pin connectors corregetemi if I'm wrong

bdm generally, the control unit must be powered. also depends on the programmer who uses it. in principle, I do not know to be powered. the rooster, for example, provides instructions and necessary x-powered.
